Biography

Jackson Chery is a billboard-charting Haitian-American producer, drummer, music director, composer and serial entrepreneur from Brooklyn, New York. His music journey started in his youth when he was designated as his church's musical and choir director. Thereafter, he toured drumming with international artists LaMala & Phyllisia Ross. Jackson also managed Jovita Sheppard, Tye Tribbett, Mali Music, Danielle Lewis and Amante Lacey through his management company formerly 'Lakay Entertainment' , renamed Common Artists. In 2012, Jackson served as the Wingate Concert Series event producer booking artists & coordinating programming. In 2016, he collaborated with VH1's executive producer Mona Scott-Young as a music director for Monami. Subsequently, he music directed shows for the Grammys and artists Joe Budden, Leikeli47, Missy Elliot, and Rapsody. He has provided music direction and production, and scored films as an independent contractor for creatives like Malik Yoba, Wyclef Jean, and Jerry Wonda Duplessis. Jackson launched 'The Healing Room' in 2018 where hundreds gathered for hours of praise and worship in an intimate concert setting. He produced the shows and booked gospel heavy-hitters as headliners like Walls Group, Phil Thompson, and Kierra Sheard. In 7 years, he and a collective of hand-picked talented musicians and singer/songwriters, referred to as Bridging the Gap, have compiled 6 albums, of which 5 have charted Top 20 on Billboard Gospel charts and World Music.
