The art form of music has interested me for quite some time. Whether on CDs, iPods, or the current streaming model, I find that rhythms and melodies have a funny way of healing wounds and igniting the passions. I guess that made me different from the other kids at my high school – while everyone else was auditioning to be the next star QB, I was sitting in the back of the classroom, sketching prototypes for a super-bicycle that cleans your room and also makes pizza with extra cheesy crust. Pretty soon, I was addicted to playing guitar. I was especially influenced by Chairlift (Caroline Polachek’s first band), but I also made sure to set time aside to carve out my own sound with pedals and unconventional DIY approaches. After spending a year in the sleaze circuit, I came back to a heavily gentrified Seattle. Luckily, my layover was only a couple hours and in the blink of an eye I was moving into the ivy-walled dorms of Yale. My college years were formative – it was in New Haven where I first became aware of epistemology and the gender issue. Nevertheless, I felt like a fish out of water in the classroom. LA was my real fish tank, and the music studio, my coral reef. I "swam" over to Tinseltown in 2021 to cut my debut label EP, which combines aspects of indie folk and hyperpop while appealing to the angsty sentiments of Gen Z. I’ll be dropping the deets on IG, so it might be wise to keep your ears peeled… in the meantime, I’ll probably be watching some A24 crap on 70mm.
