TBaze, is an Afrofusion artist who’s music is rooted in traditional Nigerian rhythms e.g. fuji, highlife & afrobeats, fused with global creative influences e.g. reggaeton, R&B & dancehall. His original lyrics are sung in a blend of Yoruba, Pidgin & English. He began his musical journey with “Carry You” in 2017, gaining international recognition with his song “Stay With Me” in collaboration with DJ/Producer Ortzy and Latin Grammy artists Alkilados in 2019. In 2020, inspired by the death of George Floyd, TBaze released “Monkey”, a song against exploitation & oppression gaining video premier opportunity on MTV Base Africa. In 2021, TBaze released his debut 8-track E.P. “Alubarika (Blessings). “Alubarika” was selected as a finalist in the John Lennon Inspired ‘International song for Kindness’ competition & performed at the Cavern Club (home of the Beatles). Other releases include collaborations on Big Vibes, Till the Morning, and Yo Bodi which have garnered significant airtime including on: FunX FM (Netherland), Spotify’s Editorial Playlist, Apple Music’s New Music Today & Interviews on BBC Music Introducing.
