Kennebec is the musical outlet of Eric Phillips, a composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist currently living in Portland, Oregon by way of Boston MA. He draws from an eclectic array of influences including left field ambient/electronic music, folk, hip-hop, indie rock and soundtracks to create his own unique style of cinematic music. Kennebec's second record 'Without Star or Compass' released October 2022 featuring guest appearances from Samuel T. Herring Sudan Archives Kalaido Hemlock Ernst and Yazz Ahmed. In 2022 Kennebec expanded into a live group, playing a variety of festivals and have opened for artists as diverse as Arooj Aftab Kevin Morby and Joep Beving. Beyond Kennebec, Eric Phillips has composed soundtracks for numerous films, documentaries, podcasts and indie games including The Obama’s docuseries ‘Working’ with Higher Ground, Crooked Media's Dreamtown and many more.
