Menaka is an Australian-born singer, who creates music that is a fusion of traditional Indian music with world and contemporary influences. While hailing from musical family deeply rooted in South Indian (Carnatic) music, her unique sound is an intersection of traditional and contemporary, East and West. Recently, Menaka nearly lost her vision. In this time of challenge, her original music was born. Her debut album, “My Eyes Can See” was launched in May 2019 to a sold-out crowd at the Queensland Multicultural Centre, Brisbane. Menaka continues to perform and teach. Her vision is to unite and inspire health, harmony and inner peace through music.
