Riel Dere is a native St. Louis artist that relates and can expand her voice to all genres of music. She has a wide range of talents that are being expressed throughout her music. Riel Dere started writing when she was 8 years old however, other interest caught her attention at that time. Although, she always remained in touch with music, primarily old school artist, with a touch of new school. The main artist that influenced her to write music consisted of those who had influential lyrics. These old school artists consists of, Nas, JAY-Z, Ice Cube, Michael Jackson, and Luther Vandross. The newer artists that influence her now are Future, Lil Baby, Justin Bieber, Drake, Chris Brown and J.I the Prince of N.Y 
 With an ep that she dropped in 2019, this gave others insight on how her music would communicate to her current listeners. Her ability to write in spanish adds a little extra to the scene as it promotes different angles of business. Her album which drops in 2021 will consist of a new evolution of a sound that she has been working on. The Code Records brought Ariel along to the team with a guarantee to inspire a new vision for music which promotes “spreading love.” Her new song she dropped I Need Love promotes a want for change in society such as #BlackLivesMatter and also discusses the topic of her “play big brother” Darius who was killed June 4th of 2020.
