Born and raised in the vibrant city of San Diego, California, on January 4th, 1987, Young Pro is a talented rapper who has been immersed in the world of music since the age of 12. Drawing inspiration from influential artists such as 2Pac, Westside Connection, Sugar Free, Nipsey Hussle, Jay Z, Future, as well as local San Diego legends like Mitchy Slick, Damu, Big June, and Jayo Felony, Young Pro developed a unique style that blends elements of storytelling, authenticity, and introspection. Growing up in an environment heavily influenced by gang culture in San Diego, Young Pro was deeply impacted by the experiences of his family and peers who were affiliated with gangs. Using music as an outlet, he found solace and a means to express his pain, struggles, and the harsh realities of his upbringing across various neighborhoods in San Diego. Raised by a single mother, Young Pro, the youngest of his mother’s three children, overcame adversity and channeled his experiences into his music, transforming his hardships into a powerful message.
