GULLY BOP Gully Bop is a dancehall Deejay/Singer. He was born on 30 May 1964 christened Robert Lee Malcolm, in Jamaica. He recorded as Countryman in the early eighties. Gully Bop re-surfaced in 2014, following a video of him performing went viral; a shrewd producer saw this and applied his lyrics to a soundtrack and this video also went viral. By the end of the year, Gully Bop had recorded “Pussy Specialist”, “My Gawd, dem nuh bad like me”, performed at the island’s Sting Festival and continued to have massive success, recording collaborations with many artists, continuing to perform at Reggae Sumfest, Bob Marley’s 70th birthday celebration in Trenchtown, and his infamous “killing” of Merciless, together with Ninjaman! Then the tours started, and he performed at many places, the Islands (such as Grenada, Guyana, St Kitts, Barbados),England, Canada, Europe, America and other countries. Gully Bop is a “freestyle” artist, put him in a situation and he can deejay about it at the drop of a hat; and that is what he has over all other deejays”. Gully Bop is also a singer, and has many songs that can testify to this. Gully Bop appeals to women, men and children; the ladies…. just love him! From the Gully to the Money!
