Biography

If you ask around New Jersey, rapper Crack Curtis has cemented himself as one of the top lyricists in the state. At the age of just 9 years old, Crack began making music out of his garage with some old music equipment his father had laying around. Fast-Forward a couple decades and now he has the streets of Jersey in a headlock. He prides himself on being a versatile artist and not having a specific “sound,” which keeps fans intrigued because they never know what to expect next. Even within the same song he tries to make the listener experience different vibes such as switching flows multiple times throughout a record, going from mean and gritty bars then suddenly transitioning into a smooth melodic hook. You can hear the pain in Crack’s voice as he creates an almost nostalgic trip back to when bars mattered, but yet is still a breath of fresh air, mixing classic hard hip-hop with a more melodic and new wave vibe. Over the years he’s worked with the likes of DJ Whoo Kid, Harry Fraud, Chinx Drugz, his long time engineer John Sparkz, etc, and has been receiving more and more co-signs from heavy hitters in the music industry as of late.
