Singer, songwriter, author, and fashion designer Dr. Brenda Jefferson is co-pastor of Deeper Life Christian Church in Tampa, Florida. Following a harrowing upbringing surrounded by abuse, Jefferson entered ministry at the age of 25. Along with her husband, the Tampa native went on to form the House of David Help Center, an outreach and rehabilitation center established through Deeper Life. Another way Jefferson chose to spread the Gospel was through song. The musical director at DLCC, she released her debut, A Time of Refreshing, in 2007. Blending gospel power with R&B, the album featured appearances by Lisa Page-Brooks, LaCresia Campbell, and Jamie Jones of All-4-One. In addition to music, Jefferson also penned a handful of inspirational tomes, like The Little Book of Wisdom, Pen of a Ready Writer, Going to the Heavens, and Dreams Come True. A decade after her initial effort, Jefferson released Invocation on her own label, Scripture Music Group, in 2017.
