Biography

Jay Wadley is a NY based composer and music producer. Upcoming releases include; Charlie Kaufman’s I’m Thinking of Ending Things, The Innocence Files directed by Roger Ross Williams, Independent Spirit Award Nominated Driveways directed by Andrew Ahn, and the Sundance award-winning, I Carry You with Me (Sony), directed by Heidi Ewing . His score for James Schamus' critically acclaimed directorial debut, Indignation (Lionsgate), was featured in IndieWire's "10 Best Scores of 2016", received a Billboard premiere and a concert performance by the Winnipeg Symphony for Soundtracks Live. Recent projects include the Tales of the City (Netflix/Universal) starring Laura Linney, Olympia Dukakis and Ellen Page, Emmy nominated Raised in the System VICE Season 6 Premiere (HBO), Rhys Ernst's (Transparent) directorial debut ADAM, The OA (Netflix/Plan-B), Anu Valia's Sundance winning short Lucia, Before & After and Jacob LaMendola's Emmy nominated Long Shot (Netflix). A graduate of the Yale School of Music (MM, AD) and Oklahoma City University School of Music (BM), Jay has won two Charles Ives awards from the Academy of Arts and Letters. and commissioned by Carnegie Hall's Ensemble ACJW, the Yale Band, Williams College and The Nouveau Classical Project. His arrangements and orchestrations for Rufus Wainwright, Mark Ronson and Calexico have been performed by The San Francisco Symphony, New York City Opera, The Royal Ballet and the Louisville Symphony Orchestra, among others.
