[uncle]Monk is a record producer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. Monk released the debut album, Hello, on 1st January 2021; a chilled out lo-fi record. Constantly working on new music and experimenting with various genres including lo-fi, hip-hop, electro and dance, Monk tries to create something for everyone. Monk has been creating music since the early 00s, initially performing in punk bands from the age of 14 and writing and recording band demos at home. After studying music production Monk began writing solo folk/ punk songs before evolving into more electronic production music. Inspired by Nine Inch Nails, Pendulum, Louis Armstrong & Eminem due to their emotive lyricism and genre-defying production, Monk draws on various styles and artists from 1920s jazz through to modern-day EDM.
