Biography

LaShonda Schofield is one such artist that epitomizes the essence of the R&B (nostalgia 80s /90s) sound. A multi-talented Vocalist and songwriter born in Valdosta, Georgia, LaShonda is making music that is thoughtful, conscious and driven by a desire to contribute to breaking unhealthy patterns in love and relationships, while celebrating the great aspects of relationships. A woman inspired by the 80s and 90s grooves of R&B, Pop, Rock, as she would say “My Mom was MTV, my Dad was BET.”LaShonda is a hybrid with diverse styles. As an indie artist and a successful label owner (3 OH! 9 Music Group), LaShonda’s overarching ambition is to be a influential leader for the next generation who grow up to be musicians or executives in the music Industry. LaShonda is ultimately in the hoots with her heated singles Wash That Man, My Rhythm, My Blues, Calamity and Free to Love featuring MIG. She has developed a style of songwriting that is transparent, daring and reflective of her will to teach Men how to treat Women, turning her ambitions into purpose and lessons into studio sessions. Her influences include Atlantic Starr, Klymaxx, Earth, Wind, and Fire, Chaka Khan, George Michael, Teena Marie, and 80s Pop/Rock. To date, “Wash That Man” is featured in an indie film “Shattered Love”. She has had the pleasure of co-writing with Deep Soul House artist Tasha LaRae on her debut album. LaShonda Schofield is the host of Power Music Radio’s relationship show Love, Life, and Homework.
