DIVINEANGEL is a creative collaboration between Yoruba-British artist muva of Earth and rising Asante-British artist, Angel SEKA. 
 Together DIVINEANGEL represent a new wave of Afro-punk jazz artists who create with the intention to connect themselves and the diaspora to their African roots. Both based in London, their sound is also very reflective of their British upbringing and incorporates a punk-inspired edge to their creative expression. As a duo, they surge with stories that mirror the experience of people from the diaspora in a Western world that overlooks and suppresses our voices. 
 ‘OBiNRiN’ (pronounced ‘o-be-ri’) is the Yoruba translation for ‘Woman’ and is a powerful, affirmative chant set to encourage those in search of their ancestral and native roots to continue looking within to discover their truths. ‘OBiNRiN’ is a soul-nurturing love letter to the divine feminine within the African Woman and acknowledges the strife that we are often met with whilst pushing us to transmute this pain into glory.
 DIVINEANGEL are here to catapult the beauty of African cultures to mainstream consciousness. You could file their music next to Nigeria’s psychedelic rock duo Lijadu Sisters, Ibeyi and UK acts like Greentea Peng, M.I.A and Sade Adu. This union of two free-thinking friends will provide a healing and transformative experience for anyone who tunes into their musical frequency.
