DaMarious Earl Nix (born December 31, 1986), better known by his stage name YTB Kaine, is an American rapper from Pontiac, Michigan. Formerly a member of the rap group Yaktownboyz (YTB), YTB Kaine is best known for his street / hip-hop style of rap. YTB Kaine started his musical career at the age of 13, freestyling and recording music with his childhood best friend and cousin. Eventually, the hobby turned into a passion, and the friends formed rap group Yaktownboyz – a name based on the city of Pontiac, where they grew up. In 2009, YTB released their first independent project titled after the group’s name, which caught the attention of Promoter Get Rich “Roc.” Under Roc’s management, YTB went on to open for artists including Yung LA, Rakim, E-40, Fat Joe, Mike Jones, Lil’ Flip, Freeway, OJ da Juiceman, Lil Boosie, Moneybagg Yo, NBA YoungBoy, Reverie, Kirko Bangz, Hurricane Chris, Young Buck and Lil Scrappy.
