Sincere emotions, lyrics brought straight to the point are coming together to a modern singer-songwriter sound that carries a touch of nostalgia and security - music for the moment to breathe deeply. The indie folk band No King. No Crown. from Dresden around singer and songwriter René Ahlig, guitarist Ole Sterz, who can also be heard on violin and banjo and Martin Schuster on synthesizers, beats and percussion, create a stirring sound between folk, indie, singer-songwriter and chamber pop. René Ahlig, who founded the band as a solo artist about twelve years ago, released his first folk-pop album "Heart to Escape" in 2012, which was followed by the second LP "Without Yesterday" in 2016. For the first time No King. No Crown. entered the studio as a full-band for their third record "Smoke Signals" in 2019. They managed to condense their musical style into a new indie-folk sound: With roots in the acoustic realm and influences from electronica and ambient sounds, they managed to set further milestones - over 5 million plays on Spotify, more than a million views on YouTube, placements in German television productions from RTL, WDR, KabelEins and RTL2. In 2019 the band played over 55 concerts in Germany, Switzerland and England. In order to build on the success of the last record, they follow up with Album No. 4: WE MADE OURSELVES A HOME.
