Born in ‘91 Rodo was introduced to music through piano at age 3. And at age fourteen he began recording with his friends in his hometown of Prentiss MS and went on to become classically trained. By the time Rodo arrived at college he joined forces with fellow artist Mvstermind to form the group Rodo an Mo. Success from the single “Crazy Girl” provided the opportunity for the duo to open for G-Eazy. After going solo he went on to open for other prominent artists like Wale, Chuck Inglish, (The Cool Kids), Devin The Dude, Black Milk, Supreme of the Wu-Tang Clan and Benji. of Spillage Village. In an effort to separate himself from the highly saturated hip hop genre Rodo can now be found on stage with his Band Naughty by Choice. A full band consisting of vocals, lead guitar, bass, keys, and drums. While Rodo’s main genre is HipHop his instrumentals don’t always fit that mold. With the help of Houses at Night he has seamlessly intertwined HipHop with indie, alternative, and r&b sounds. Although his social role as an anime fan, pokemon specialist, and a respected sparring partner to the legendary Master Roshi consume much of his time, Rodo knows the importance of keeping music first. That being said, fans can be on the lookout for his new EP Somebody’s Nobody set to drop soon as well as his debut, Only up from Here as an Innerstate Records artist.
