Hillreye Banks, also known as Luna B, is an African-American born independent Boston artist whose raw up beat and eloquent rap style has serenaded the Title Town area since 2013. Hillreye was born January 13, 1992 and was raised in Dorchester, Waltham MA. Having featured with several Boston artists and Hosting an open mic, Out Spoken Word, in Waltham, MA, Hillreye is a fiery in your face female mc whose raw straight up lyrically poetic style is not only refreshing and relatable, but down right enchanting. After singing in the Sunday Church Choir for the Concord Baptist Church of Boston since the tender young age of 6 Hillreye eventually grew up taking advantage of any musical opportunities available within her community. Banks took the stage for the first time at the tender young age of 8 displaying a variety of choreographed dance routines; which eventually translated into performing all the way through her high school and college career at both Waltham Senior High School and The University of Massachusetts Lowell. She prides herself on her versatility as a culturally well rounded female artist who adapts to an array of musical tracks, while maintaining her own unique essence. Having dropped singles like “On It” ft. Philoso and “Pretty Girl Anthem” (P.G.A) from her debut album "113" Hillreye has her fans avidly awaiting the unveiling of her second solo album entitled “Frequency" while continuing fill the airways with her unmatched flow and out of this world bars!
