BACKGROUND Ngoma Republic was founded through passion for music by Kudzai Travor Gaadzikwa (JmpJipe) in 2011 in Chitungwiza, Zimbabwe. It arose from the need to capture and amplify stories of his hometown. Ngoma Republic, among others, became a pioneering hub in the rise of Zim Dancehall and Pop Culture. Since its birth, it has played a major part in the birth and come up of powerful seasoned artists such as Winky D, Guspy Warrior, Freeman and Poptain, to name a few. Our innovative creativity and never-ending persuit for quality has rewarded us with several awards and nominations including ‘Song of the Year’ and ‘Album of the Year’ at the National Arts Merit Awards (NAMA). Ngoma Republic continues to be a prominent figure in Zimbabwe and soon, worldwide.
