Music they say, touches us emotionally where words alone can't. This was true the first time mama held me in her arms and sang to my ears. It was that moment my favourite song was played on the radio, the city quiet while the music pierced the air. It was like my first time at the studio, headphones over my ears and my lips set to release that which burned my soul. Some nights, I close my eyes and think of my past and imagine what the universe holds in store for my future, and I know it is a beautiful one. It's not gonna be an easy ride, but on the days I feel weary and overwhelmed, I will close my eyes, stick in my earbuds, play my favourite songs and picture that future I crave.
