Biography

Les Itinérantes (French for “the travelers”), a female vocal trio, draws its strength in the diversity of its repertoire. With original arrangements, the three singers perform a cappella songs from various eras in more than forty different languages in a journey through styles, time and space. Manon Cousin, Pauline Langlois de Swarte and Elodie Pont shape a unique sound with multiple colors to emphasize the diverse musical stories they are telling. Soft, powerful, seraphic or raw, the voices meet each other, blending together forgotten tales with original compositions, in sometimes forgotten or invented languages, in a voyage where centuries intertwine and boundaries fade away. Three musicians with three distinct backgrounds who combined their different influences – from early music to chanson française – to illustrate themes they most care for: women, nature, travel and imagination.
