It was only 4 years after a daring decision to move to Ireland from Zimbabwe that Lucia Evans decisively won ‘You’re A Star,’ the biggest TV talent competition in Ireland. That turning point in her musical career began to open doors on international stages where she performed for Nelson Mandela, the Pope, Justin Timberlake’s protege, Esmee Denters as well Irish music luminary, Sharon Shannon. In recent years, she was handpicked by the producers of Riverdance as well as Golden Globe nominated composer Brian Byrne to be the lead singer of ‘Heartbeat of Home,’ an eclectic Irish Dance show that toured China, Canada and the USA. 2020 saw her come out of a 5 year hiatus and not only reinvent herself, but also rekindle her passion for songwriting.
