MUNIN

Biography

OLIVER SATYR - MUNIN "Munin" is the name of one of the two ravens of Odin, the Allfather of the Nordic mythology and means "memory". In eleven songs Oliver Satyr gives us a very personal insight into his memories and experiences on this album. On „Munin“ you can find fragile ballads with vocals, lute and harp but also old, archaic instrumental pieces from the far north. In German and English language, this musical journey leads through William B. Yeats' enchanted forests to a hidden lake where the dances of the mermaids can be heard at night. Oliver Satyr is frontman and founding member of the band FAUN, which can look back on more than 20 years of successful band history with more than 1000 concerts. worldwide and gold & platinum awards. The ballads of the album "Munin" were written in the last 10 years and have now been re-arranged and re-recorded for this release. On the opener "You should have seen me there" Oliver is accompanied by the enchanting vocals of Paris Paloma from England, while "The road" features a duet with Kati Ran from the Netherlands. "Munin" is published in a 60-page hardcover book, which not only contains lyrics, illustrations and many photos, but also a lot of information about the background of the ballads, the instruments and personal anecdotes. This book is only available at FAUN concerts or at: https://
