SWEEP was formed in 1996, by Jon Erik Martinsen, co-founder of Apoptygma Berzerk, and Truls Kristian Nygaard of Norwegian indie rock band Jocelyn High. The two man band recorded catchy electronic tunes inspired by the music they both grew up with in the eighties. SWEEP released an EP, two singles and the album “Two Players” on the US synthpop label “A Different Drum”.
