Kesia Ruth Kamphata, Malawian singer/song writer and free styler. Began her music career in 2017 after releasing a song called where do you go and let go and eventually decided it would be a solid career after these two songs. She attended the university of Livingstonia, and studied human rights, this is what gave her an idea of what type of musician she wanted to be and how she would marry her education and her career, a musician/ activist. In 2019 she released a song called "kukhala mzimayi" this was a way to voice out the struggles of a woman not only in Malawi but in other third world countries. This was a way for her to speak as an activist and musician. Later on that same year a song called African love was realised, this was originally a freestyle that eventually got studio time
