Rapper and singer Efe Money, born Michael Efe Ejeba became popular by winning the reality TV show“ Big Brother Naija” in Nigeria in 2017, after which he quickly focused on his music of which he is very pasionate about. Originally from Delta State, Nigeria, he was born (25th of February, 1993) and bred on the in the city of Jos, Nigeria where he began rapping and recording songs. He relocated to Lagos, Nigeria in 2015, in pursuit of his music career. His first official single titled “Based on Logistics” was released in 2017 enjoying masive airplay and fan play across Africa. Efe has enjoyed milions of streams and views on audios and videos across streaming platforms. He is an independent artist. His early musical influences are hip-hop artistes such as Eminem, Dr.Dre, BoneThugs n Harmony, 50Cent, JayZ including Nigerian hiphop and afrobeats acts SixFootPlus, MrRaw, 2Shot, Tubaba, Psquare, M.I Abaga, D’banj e.t.c. These influences helped shape his unique style of rap and music which consists of a blend of Afrobeats and hip-hop sounds rapping in English and Pidgin-English audible to every listener. He writes from the point of view of the average Nigerian/African kid about the joys, pains, love and other experiences of life. Efe has released 6 EPs and several singles with the most recent 7 track EP titled “Stubborn Boy” in 2022. In 2023 he has released Bad Guy Freestyle ft Slowdog, Turn Up (in collaboration with Jaywon) and most recently Money Talk (Óta Ighò) ft King Enakpodia.
