DP got his first big break in 2012 when Soulja Boy picked up a beat for the whimsical anthem, “Top Back." The beat was a whirlwind of colorful sounds, sharp but subtle hi-hats and hard drops -- all still trademarks of his much sought after sound. Shortly after that DP was incarcerated 2 years. Once released in 2014 he got another big break when he was recruited by Chief Keef to produce tracks like "Tec," "Fool Ya" and "Stop Calling Me." He was then given the opportunity to work with some of rap's most prominent artists, including Wiz Khalifa, Ty Dolla Sign and ASAP Rocky. DP Beats has moved in and out of the lives of rappers like Chief Keef, Soulja Boy, Lil Uzi Vert, Trippie Redd, G Herbo, Lil Durk, 21 Savage & Rick Ross briefly delivering great hits and shaping the styles we now associate with these acts.
