Mixing alternative, tech and indie rock, Alter Soma was formed during November 2019 combining three different music styles: Triquell's grunged-crispy soul voice, Red Monk's punk/bluesy trip guitars and tech-house-synthed beat-making curated by TtxxvvkK. After some experimentation on tapes made during the end of 2019, they first released four singles followed by their first album; "Mindset", an orchestral mix of music, love and hate. Their name's main reference first came from Aldous Huxley's "A Brave New World" concept of Soma, a chemical that filtered and managed human collective behavior. Alter Soma's sound gets influenced by experimental and alternative/indie rock bands like Sticky Fingers, Tash Sultana, Yellow Days, Arctic Monkeys, Tame Impala, Pink Floyd or Muse. However, their main purpose and pieces are focused on creating something never heard before. They create through turning around heart-felted and mental visions of social disruption, disconnected thoughts and critics, pop/indie/techno referenced culture, issues with self-esteem/hate, highly degraded relationships and selfmade conceptions of peace, forgiveness, lies and truths. The main connection between all those concepts is the unqualifiability and experimentation with the creative purpose of giving birth to something different and completely out of cliches.
