eklektos is a retro-pop solo artist out of North Carolina, USA, melding synth-driven nostalgia with modern electronic production and broad musical experience. Starting with piano at age 4, eklektos has a long history of musical performance across a variety of instruments (some more successful than others), which eventually ranged from symphonic orchestras and musical theater to metal and pop-punk bands. Eventually moving from Midwest USA to the east coast to earn a degree in jazz performance, he also discovered a love for composition and live mix engineering. Since then, eklektos has enjoyed additional opportunities (some more successful than others) as a studio mixing engineer, producer, and sound designer. Now, he is most often found attempting to funnel his love and appreciation for rich music theory and classic composition techniques into a simultaneously retro-nostalgic and modern-experimental medium… sometimes more successfully than others.
