Biography

Detroit-area pop-R&B trio Love Dollhouse is rooted in a friendship between singers Ryan Destiny Irons and Jasmine Pore. Irons, the daughter of Guesss' Deron Irons, met Pore while attending junior high school. The two singers, who grew up admiring fellow R&B groups and artists such as TLC, Aaliyah, and Destiny's Child, were joined by a series of third members -- including one who performed with them on America's Got Talent -- but they didn't gain a long-term third partner until 2013, when they added Chelsea Stone through an audition. That same year, Irons appeared in several episodes of the AMC series Low Winter Sun. Courted by Steve Rifkind, the group was signed to the All Def label, a partnership between Rifkind, Russell Simmons, and Brian Robbins. Seeking to serve as strong, positive role models for girls, the trio debuted in 2014 with the single "Can I," a song written by Claude Kelly (Miley Cyrus' "Party in the U.S.A.") and Ashley Rose, with production from Jon Jon Traxx (Beyoncé, Ledisi). ~ Andy Kellman, Rovi
