The Sunshine Melodies use reggae music as a platform to bring sunshine and positive vibes to their audience. Their original music pays homage to early Jamaican reggae and rocksteady while dipping into dub style and occasionally ska. Their songs often lay the groundwork for "versions" in which multiple songwriters contribute to a single backing riddim. The band features veterans of the New England music scene who have recorded with Dr. Ring Ding, Adam "Flymo" Birch (Specials/Toasters), Agent Jay (Slackers), Vinny Nobile (Bim Skala Bim/Pilfers/Cenzo), The Ska-Jazz Messengers, and more.
