Born in chaotic New York City in 02’ and grew up in Fleur-De-Lis Florence Italy since ’10, one of Methylidyne’s goals is to bring together two contrasting genres she loves: Hip Hop & Classical Music. From low frequencies, to keys only a Soprano could attain, Methylidyne loves playing with her 4 octave vocal range. Not bad! This 20 year old artist has been studying composition, analysis and theory of music since high school, her body is wired with ambition and she serves as an interpreter between the young and the less young. “If only both groups could equally appreciate the elegance of an opera singer and the power within a rap song”… Methylidyne hopes that someday she’ll be part of a whole new music generation, a genre that doesn’t exclude her personal identity.
