Originally from the 805 Central Coast, California Rap Artist Retro Jayy began making music at the age of 12 years old. Influenced by his older cousins he quickly found his passion for writing and recording music at a young age. With idols like @E-40, 2Pac, The Notorious B.I.G. and Mac Dre he was fascinated with the way these artist had their own unique style and had a way of painting pictures with their rhymes. In a way you can kind of hear a little bit of these artist in his music now. He’s got that Fresh California Player Style that is original and authentic. You can hear just that on his Debut Album Out the Way. He’s also got a rough unapologetic style of rap with can be heard on his Album Keep It Goin' and Singles like Not The Same (Freestyle), Smooth Playa Shit, Fiji Water Freestyle and Bout Mine (Freestyle).
