Biography

IM0HIMI (Imohimi Olugbenga Unuigbe) stands as a beacon of the rich tapestry that merges American and Nigerian musical influences. Born in the vibrant city of Atlantic City, New Jersey, this multi-instrumentalist discovered his profound connection with music early on, mastering a diverse range of instruments, from the violin and piano to the drums, saxophone, and tuba. His time in school choir further refined his vocal prowess. At age of 14, during a particularly challenging period, music became IM0HIMI's solace. Battling depression and anxiety, he found healing and expression in songwriting, crafting heartfelt stories that resonated deeply with many. His collaboration with fellow Nigerian artist, Jaey London on "Hide N Seek," later remixed to great acclaim with producer Godznoise, stands testament to his evolving artistry. Expanding his horizons, IM0HIMI showcased his versatility with "Where the Girls At," a collaborative effort with rapper and producer, FEMSTAR. The industry's ears perked up, leading to a noteworthy collaboration with Grammy-nominated artist Rick Ross on the track "Nine to Five (Make it Work) ." In May 2023, IM0HIMI unveiled his debut studio album, "And Then There Was Imo". With an undying passion for his craft and an unwavering commitment to innovation, IM0HIMI is not just a rising star, but an imminent force to be reckoned with in the music industry.
