Born on the peaky Derbyshire streets in the summer of 2017, Primal was formed by singer-songwriter Rory Wilson and Danny Bigland. Ollie Green soon joined on drums, and Primal began to turn their daily jam sessions into recordable tunes. Rippling with bluesy riffs and roaring vocals, the Primal sound brings to mind everything from The Black Keys, to Rival Sons, to the driving grooves of Audioslave. Relentlessly writing, gigging and squeezing into lethally skinny jeans, Primal are one of the most exciting live bands on the Midlands’ music scene, with more and more bookings and festival slots prying them off the peaks and out into the wider musical world. “Loud.
