Haoma is a project by Behnam Zekavat, His approach to deep atmospheric house and minimal techno reveals his signature sound inspired by the nature and his knowledge and experience with sacred plants. His Musical journey started with playing guitar in early 2000’S, The decade of digital takeover in the music world even in Iran! In the middle of the same decade he learned to play electronic guitar, setting the tone for a better understanding of the sound and soon he got his hands on his first DAW, a place to experiment and allow the ideas to manifest themselves. Those were the days that he also played lead guitar in their underground alternative cover band. Alongside his degree in sound engineering, Haoma has been around already for over 2 decades in the real underground scene of Tehran’s both party and studio life, collecting experience and pursuing his passion for music. In 2021 Haoma enters a new cycle of his music career by releasing his debut EP “Light Of The Mind” on Berlin based independent label Deed Music, a journey to classic warmth of Acid Jazz influenced Deep House of Haoma created in his studio right under the sleeping volcano mountain of Damavand!
