As a tabla player and multi-percussionist, Alok has performed globally with a number of artists including Ian Anderson/Jethro Tull, Boris Grebenshikov, Dr L Subramanium, Erik Truffaz, Suresh Wadekar, Rakesh Chaurasia, and Hairharan to name but a few. He also produces his own music and beats and has developed his own style of mixing electronic and acoustic instruments live on stage. He released two albums Avartan and Aura in 2019 and more recently produced two singles for meditation and relaxation. His videos have reached tens of millions of views on social media, which has resulted in music technology brands like Roland and SE Electronics joining hands and providing valuable support. He currently teaches percussion and Indian music at the Haberdashers Boys School, Ealing Music Hub and at the World Heart Beat Music Academy in south London.
