Cheryl B. Engelhardt is a best-selling, GRAMMY®-nominated artist and composer. Cheryl began her career as an advertising and film composer in NYC, scoring several nationally-aired commercials before hitting the road with her pop band. Her music has been placed in numerous TV shows, meditation apps, and airlines. She composes for social justice choirs and has been featured in People, Harper’s Bazaar, and Forbes for her collaboration with Donzaleigh Abernathy, Martin Luther King’s goddaughter, on the song “The Listening.” Her seventh album, the GRAMMY®-nominated project The Passenger, made her the first person to create a full album on a cross-country Amtrak train journey in 2022. Her most recent New Age project, Love Letters Lost, revitalizes pieces that were written but lost on the cutting room floor. As a certified trauma-informed coach, Cheryl is committed to serving other musicians by helping them double their impact and income through developing and optimizing systems—from time management to release strategies, emails, and even nervous systems. Cheryl is a sought-after facilitator, coach, and speaker, moderating panels at SXSW, ASCAP Expo, TAXI Road Rally, and many universities, including her alma mater, Cornell University. She’s a voting member of The Recording Academy and part of their District Advocacy team. Cheryl also serves as the American Choral Directors Association’s Chair of Research and Repertoire for Contemporary and Commercial Music for the East Division.
