I'm a Swedish composer and piano player that started recording relaxing and soothing music in 2012. Before that I had mostly written vocal and choral music, but a combination of encouragement from people that had heard me just sit and improvise by the grand piano before concerts, and the fact that I found it a bit hard to find music that I personally found truly relaxing, led to creating the Relaxing Piano series. When listening I just wanted to have instrumental live acoustic piano sounds in the music - no synths - and music that was very even in the dynamics. So that is what I’m trying to create. My goal is to create music that just allows the listener to focus inwards, and that doesn't take too much focus. It's really wonderful to hear people tell how they use the music as background music at home, listening to it while going to sleep, using it as morning music to get that good mood going first thing in the morning or while praying or meditating. Restaurants use it, teachers at school, spa facilities, masseurs, yoga practitioners, homes for the elderly and churches before services or concerts and funeral services. Many people play it to their children even before they are born and then keep playing the music every night when they tuck their little angels in.
