Biography

Jonathan Alexander (born July 18, 1998) better known by his stage name G-JON, is an American rapper, songwriter, and engineer from High Point, North Carolina. Jon grew up in a household with a brother and sister, Lauren Alexander & Alex Alexander (the founder of @LexScope Productions). Lex saw something in Jon that no one else grasped, a hidden talent with substantial potential. He brought Jon on as a recording artist in 2013 and allowed him to use all of the Scopes resources/networks. Over the course of 3 years, Jon endured the extensive lyrical training, heavy constructive criticism, a plethora of positive inspirational meetings/seminars, countless sleepless nights, constant flights out of the state for music videos, recording sessions, & live shows. That inspired Jon to not only continue to create in a time where individuality is at an all-time low and in a place where conservatism is at an all-time high (NC)... but also to turn his hobby into a full-fledged career. Legend has it that this is what morphed Jonathan into G-JON. Jon's energetic almost lyrical flow paired with his explosive delivery & eclectic writing style easily makes him a unique musician in this time period of autotune and mumble rap. Jon prides himself in "spitting that real shit" or in layman's terms he chooses to touch on topics such as African American Culture, relationships, human sexuality, race relations, social media, American government/politics and everyday life.
