Diego Hedez is a young trumpeter born in Cuba based in New York. Diego released his first album in January 2022 with “CommonGoodRecords” -The young trumpeter was selected for the “Avant-Garde”music 2022 program in Italy. He where he participated in two concerts and in an important recording with the Quintet: “Sounds of Freedom”.From here is born his new project release by 577records integrated by Francisco Mela , Federico Ughi , Ledian Mola, Jeff Pearring and Hidemi Akaiwa. Hedez keeps working on the Sound Of Free Improvised Music and we can see it in his new project The New Quartet together with the excellent musicians of the New York scene such as Jeff Pearring, Eva Novoa and Todd Capp. Also the young improviser has remained in constant search from different points of view and musical colors such as in projects with the legendary Daniel Carter , William Parker among others , also a special appearance with Vinny Golia,Michael TA Thompson,Ken Filiano with the project created by Jeff Pearring called Horntet. Diego continues working in improvised formats from trios, quartets, quintets and also has begun to be part of the William Parker “Lil Huey’s Pocket Watch ensamble , and continue working with free improvisers such as Brandon Lopez , Hans Young Binter,Charlie Waters,Yuko Togami, Aaron Quinn,Ayumi Ishito,Gian Perez, Patrick Golden, Jarred Chase , Michael Gilbert Evan Palmer,Deric Dickens, Zachary Swanson among others.
