How do you gauge success? In my eyes, I always felt when I was coming up., success meant having a big house, a lot of money, all of the cars, girls, and fame… but that's not what success is. Success is progress… and I think progression can only be determined by one thing… have you done more today than you did yesterday… have you reached the goals that you have set for yourself… if you have… are you ready to achieve the goals that are ahead of you? Does someone control your destiny? Does someone control your content? What is ownership, and how does ownership play a part in what you have going on? are you letting outside voices and outside forces who have nothing to do with the culture dictate how you present your art to the culture? This is what the 85 south show represents. This is what the roach motel means. These are all things in the future we create and present to the people we represent. It's about being independent, but it's also about being independent with a team, and I know that it's an oxymoron… but you have to be independent, and you have to have a team. to be independent, you have to have a team. my team happens to be some of the coldest motherfuckers out here. You never know how people will change your life when you meet them. when I first met Chad, cat, and joe, it was supposed to be a meeting about me animating them… I just did skits for the 85 south show, and it became more significant when I showed them the roach motel...
