Biography

Considered by some to be "superhuman," Chad Thomas, aka Major Nine, is a rapper-producer who also played defensive end for the Cleveland Browns. • Thomas grew up in the Liberty City neighborhood of Miami. His family emphasized the importance of music and sports, and as a result, he excelled at football and learned to play nine instruments, including the piano, trombone, trumpet, and tuba. • Major Nine cowrote and produced Rick Ross' 2017 track “Apple of My Eye,” featuring Raphael Saadiq. • In 2018, he was selected in the third round of the NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns. • He’s released a string of full-length projects, including 2018’s Big Tape, 2019’s Lil Tape II, and 2020’s Unconditional, Chizzim Tape, and No Pain, No Glory. • In 2020, Major Nine featured on “Trap Back,” off Chris Brown and Young Thug’s joint mixtape Slime & B..
