Biography

Teresa is a Swedish singer and songwriter. Music has always had an important and central part of her life. At the age of nine she began singing in a children's choir and then went on to sing in gospel choirs and cover bands, and since then she has drawn inspiration mostly from soul, jazz and RnB, but also world music. Through music she processes ups and downs, whatever goes on in life. To sing is as important as breathing to her.
In Teresa's family there is a deep tradition of folk music. She is related to Carl-Eric Berndt - a Swedish fiddler and National Folk Musician (riksspelman), Gert Willy Berndt - a Swedish composer and conductor, and Christina Nilsson - a Swedish opera singer.
Over the years Teresa has done a number of things. She has released a solo album, participated as lead- and background vocalist behind a variety of artists, e.g. the Swedish hip-hop and soul group Prominent and the danish group Michael Learns To Rock. She has also had the privilege to work as a singer and co-writer in the Malmö-based House duo Physics, for example the album Influences. Check them out, they've done fantastic music!
Teresa’s latest project is a collaboration with Raz Kennedy and the project is called Rezá Azul. Keep a lookout for this on!
