Biography

Originally from Coutances in Normandy (France), Émilie Heurtevent is a multi-faceted artist, performing as a soloist or as a chamber musician in venues such as the Maison de Radio-France, the Sunset-Sunside, the Cathédrale Saint-Louis des Invalides, the Opéra-Théâtre d'Avignon...
In 2003, she joined the French Air Force Band, in which she has since held the position of co-soloist.
She has collaborated with the Osmose Quartet but also with the company Les Brigands and with the composer Julie Roué, for whom she recorded the original soundtrack for the film "Perdrix" with Fanny Ardant.
In 2013, she founded the Trio Empreinte with Clara Abou (violin) and Anne de Fornel (piano), a group dedicated to promoting contemporary creation as well as female composition. The three musicians recorded their first album in 2017, "Crossing the line", with the Klarthe Records label.
Always eager to expand her sound universe, Émilie Heurtevent is co-leader of the "Lume Project" with jazz saxophonist David Fettmann. She also plays with harpist Aliénor Mancip in the Duo Narcisse and is developing the repertoire for this original pairing.
