After the TLFs debut album „Planet Sadness“ (NewRetroWave), with LukHash and Chris Hülsbeck and collaborations with MassiveZ, Jaki Nelson as well as a remix for the legendary "Futurecop!", the Berlin based artist is back with a series of singles! „Better Days“ is more than a Synthwave ballad with a driving 8th note Synthbass, spacy LinnDrum toms and pad sounds from outer space. It is pushing the genres borders further with the use of musical elements you wouldn't hear in Synthpop every day. Strings support the chorus, oriental-sounding adlibs are represented at the end of the song where also an acoustic guitar comes in and the main instrument of the intro is a church organ – and this has a special reason. The song weaves a narrative around themes of religion, belief, motivation, and the constant swaying between light and darkness „Better Days“ invites you on a contemplative journey, encouraging to reflect on the intangible forces that provide strength and meaning in the face of life's uncertainties. It is asking you „What do you believe in?“, „What is keeping you sane?“ Staying sane in a world full of wars, hunger, displacement, ecological destruction - all under the roof of capitalism, that clenches us every day, is a task for life. The constant oscillation between a minor and a major key in the melody makes the staggering between hope and despair feelable.
