Chord Fiction is indie pop-folk music that stems from the mind and heart of David Salazar, a singer/songwriter in the SF bay area. The music he creates in his new act echoes the soft and understated melodies of artists the likes of Glen Hansard, Jack Johnson, or Damien Rice. Still, it also feels as forward-thinking as indie-folk heroes the likes of The Shins, Wilco, or Calexico. Chord Fiction sets out to create a mellow, organic, and soothing set of sonic landscapes, with every song relying on David Salazar's earnest vocals and gentle acoustic/electric guitar lines.
