Ginger Minj starred on Season 7 of RuPaul's Drag Race and was a finalist on the 6th Season of All Stars. Since Drag Race, Ginger has gone on to tour the world, star in major movies, including the Emmy nominated Disney's 2022 Hocus Pocus 2, star in and direct original broadway shows, and release multiple albums. In 2021, Ginger tapped into her genuine southern roots with the release of her third studio album, Double Wide Diva, which served as her introduction to the country music genre. Ginger co-wrote every song on the album with singer/songwriters Brandon Stansell & Jeffrey James Holstein, each track capturing Ginger's heartfelt story. Ginger drew from her own life experiences to share a collection of authentic songs, revealing a never-before-seen side of Ginger Minj. The lead single on the album, "Walk Tall," was inspired by a pivotal moment in Ginger's life when she was growing up, with an empowering theme of overcoming adversities to reach your full potential. In November 2023, Ginger released her debut memoir-part-cookbook, Southern Fried Sass. The book features Ginger's Southern-inspired recipes, as well as some of her most vulnerable and celebratory moments, revealing the most valuable lessons she's learned after years in drag and pearls of wisdom she's gleaned from her grandmother's personal brand of Southern resilience. Ginger also released "Southern Fried Sass" - a playful, yet heartfelt original song inspired by the cookbook and stories of her life.
