Described by the New York Times as « An emotional universe into himself, a Master of the instrument », bandoneón player Victor Villena has had an international career, performing and recording all around the world in main scenes like : Hollywood Bowl, Olimpia (Paris), Phillarmonie de Paris, London Queens Hall, Osaka Symphonic Hall, CCK Buenos Aires, etc. His passion for “the elegance of the sound” is his trademark in his career. Victor is open to play all kinds of styles with the bandoneon and refuses to resume the bandoneon to only a tango instrument, but as an universal music instrument.
