Nitish Kulkarni is an Indian-American music producer and mix engineer. He is one of the youngest rising stars in contemporary instrumental music today, as well as one of the most sought-after Marathi arrangers in the United States. Following in the vein of composers like Yanni, John Adorney, and David Arkenstone, Nitish began producing ethnically-tinged contemporary instrumental music in 2010 and came to the attention of EverSound Music a few years later. The label signed him for his debut album Synesthetic, produced by none other than Adorney himself, which was released in January 2015. The album became a sleeper hit, winning New Age Music Guide's Album of the Year, and became a part of his portfolio for an application to Berklee College of Music, where he ended up pursuing his graduate studies in music production and technology. Here, he recorded his second full-length album, Listen., an exploration of modern world music featuring instruments from around the globe, which was released in March 2018. In the 2020s Nitish has primarily worked with Marathi artists in North America and India. His aim is to bring the beauty of Indian music to more global audiences. His latest project is an ambitious intercontinental collaboration recorded in India, Hungary, and the United States, Ekach Ya Janmi Janu 2.0, released in May 2024.
